RTD Unit

Actively participate in the improvement of companies’ competitiveness through research, development and technology transfer, with quality and innovation, contributing to increase the Portuguese and European technological development.		The RTD Unit is specifically oriented to develop applied research and development projects in the areas of health, security and defense, industrial and business automation, in partnership with other scientific institutions and end customers.

The RTD Unit have a set of scientific and technological skills in the areas of information systems, communication networks, and electronics engineering and a wide experience of its application to health systems, security and defense, industrial automation and business management. +		The RTD Unit is involved in RTD projects promoting the exchange of knowledge between scientific institutions and business environment, aiming to create innovative products and services, contributing to the internationalization of Portuguese companies. +

Our researchers are highly qualified and have extensive experience in development, implementation and management of collaborative R&D projects based on information and communication technologies and electronics with applications in different areas. Participation in National and European RTD projects allowed us to broaden and deepen knowledge, both through research and the exchange of experiences, enriching our human capital. +		The RTD Unit works on a strong business basis and tries to develop strategic partnerships in order to cover a wide field of technical domains within the activities of applied research. The offer of R&D services in our customer's projects becomes enriched with our experience of participation in European and our international partnership network.
